5. Mount Makalu (8,485 meters) - Nepal and Tibet
Located between Everest and Kanchenjunga, Mount Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world. Spectacular views and technical challenges make Makalu an attractive destination for mountain climbers.
On May 15, 1955, Lionel Terray and Jean Couzy, two climbers from France, succeeded in reaching the peak of Mount Makalu. Both of them were the first figures in history to successfully conquer this mountain.
6. Mount Cho Oyu (8,188 meters) – Nepal and Tibet
Mount Cho Oyu occupies the sixth position on the list of the highest mountains in the world.This mountain is also one of the mountains that is relatively easier to climb above 8,000 meters. Located in the Himalayan Mountains, Mount Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world. This climb is challenging with difficult terrain and unpredictable weather conditions. The first climbers of this mountain were Kurt Diemberger, Albin Schelbert, Peter Diener, Ernst Forrer, and Sherpa Nawang Dorje, as well as Nyima Dorje. The ascent took place on May 13, 1960.
8. Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters) - Nepal

Mount Nanga Parbat is known as "The Killer Mountain" and is the ninth highest mountain in the world.This climb requires high technical skills and strong mental endurance. The first climber of this mountain was Hermann Buhl on July 3, 1953.
